About 100 staff from NagaWorld casino yesterday protested to demand bosses introduce a casino-wide minimum wage of $150 per month and approve a 20 per cent increase to all other wages.

It was the second time workers have taken to the streets this year, following a strike in February. Four of their six demands were approved, but the two that weren’t were voiced again yesterday.

Worker Chhim Sithor, deputy chief of an independent union at the casino, said the protest was aimed at reminding bosses of “outstanding matters”. “We do not want to do anything serious, but we want them to reach a compromise with us,” she said.

Management could not be reached for comment.
